The Smashing Pumpkins play the Scotiabank Saddledome, 555 Saddledome Rise SE, on Tuesday November 3 2026 at 8:00 pm Calgary time, according to the Saddledome’s events page. It is a stop on The Rats In A Cage Tour: one set of songs from Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, which turned 30 in 2025, and one from the rest of the band’s catalogue. No opening act is listed. The venue says doors for concerts generally open one hour before the start, which puts doors at 7:00 pm (this site’s calculation; no door time is published for this show). Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster.

What the show is

The venue’s event title calls the night “Two Unique Sets Celebrating Mellon Collie at 30 and Nearly Four Decades of Unruly Hits and Dark Treasures.” Billy Corgan’s tour announcement, reported by Stereogum on May 18 2026, said the first set would feature only Mellon Collie songs “in a highly theatrical setting.” Stereogum adds that the second set changes from night to night.

Ticketmaster’s blog, updated October 1 2026, names the core trio as Billy Corgan (vocals and guitar), James Iha (guitar) and Jimmy Chamberlin (drums); No Treble reports that bassist Jack Bates has toured with the band since 2015. The blog expects the band to play “for close to two hours,” based on 2025 shows of one hour 40 minutes to two hours.

Neither the venue nor the band publishes an end time. If the band starts at 8:00 pm and plays for one hour 40 minutes to two hours, as at its 2025 shows, the show ends between 9:40 pm and 10:00 pm (this site’s calculation from those figures).

Doors, bags and gate rules

This show’s event page gives no door time, so the general rule in the Saddledome’s A to Z Guide applies: one hour before the start for events other than Flames games.

Bag policy

  • Yellow line: bags 14 x 14 x 6 inches or smaller, plus diaper and medical bags, with a physical bag search.
  • Green line: “No Bag” Express Entry, for guests carrying only what fits in their pockets.
  • Not allowed: larger bags, such as backpacks or luggage; the venue says they must go back to the vehicle.

Other rules

  • Prohibited items include laptops and tablets, bottles and cans, outside food and drink, selfie sticks, laser pointers and air horns.
  • The Saddledome has been cashless since 2021. ATMs are in the North TELUS Club Lobby and Dutton’s Lounge.
  • Leaving and coming back in is not permitted at any event, a rule in force since July 1 2018.
  • The venue has no wheelchair or accessible seating on the floor level. Its two barrier-free entrances are on the north and west sides.

Seating levels, entrances and accessible seats are on Saddledome seating and parking.

Getting there by CTrain

The Saddledome’s Getting Here page tells CTrain riders to get off at Victoria Park/Stampede station, which the Calgary Stampede places on the Red Line and calls the fastest route to the Saddledome. Bus routes 10, 17, 24, 69 and 300 also serve the arena, the venue says.

An adult cash fare is $4.00, used once and valid for 90 minutes, and children 12 and under ride free, according to Calgary Transit, which also sells tickets in its My Fare app. Station exits and walking routes are on the Victoria Park/Stampede CTrain station guide.

Parking near the Saddledome

Lot Rate Who states it
Stampede Park lots $18 per vehicle (Saddledome); flat rate of $18 per day (Calgary Stampede) Saddledome Getting Here; Calgary Stampede
Remington Lot, 11th Ave SE $12 per vehicle Saddledome Getting Here
11th Avenue Parking Lot, 520 11th Avenue SE Flat rate of $12 per day Calgary Stampede
Platform Parkade, 9th Ave SE No rate on the venue’s page Saddledome Getting Here

Checked October 28 2026 on the Saddledome’s Getting Here page and the Calgary Stampede’s Getting to Stampede Park page. Neither page says whether the Remington Lot and the 11th Avenue Parking Lot are the same lot.

Both pages say to pay through the MyParking app, at on-site machines, or online as a guest at vpm.parkplus.ca without an account.

The venue warns that construction in the Culture + Entertainment District restricts vehicle and pedestrian access and may limit parking. It tells drivers from the south to enter by 25 Avenue SE, points drivers from the north to the Platform Parkade or the Remington Lot, and links the C+E Access Map for live road closures. Taxis and rideshare use the West Plaza on Stampede Trail or the 17th Ave Extension. More lot details are on Stampede Park parking and transit.

Past Calgary shows

The sources read for this page record two earlier Saddledome shows; the list may not be complete. Under the Rockies reviewed a three-hour concert on September 8 2018, with Corgan, Iha and Chamberlin on stage. The Navigator reviewed a show of 26 songs in nearly three hours in October 2012, after the band’s Vancouver date was cancelled; it does not give the Calgary date.

Where to eat nearby

Outside food and drink is not allowed in the arena, and with no re-entry, a meal outside comes first. These three are each a 0.5 km walk from the Saddledome’s west side (measured on a map by this site on October 26 2026); hours are from each business’s site, read October 28 2026.

  • Melrose, 421 12 Ave SE: Tuesday 11 am to 10 pm; an 18+ venue with online booking.

  • Embarcadero Oyster Bar, 208 17 Ave SE: Tuesday 11 am to 10 pm, with online reservations.

The Saddledome’s food page (dated June 4 2025) lists its outlets but not which open for concerts. All 32 places in this site’s guide are on Where to eat near the Saddledome.

Alberta Time starts two days before the show

Alberta moves to Alberta Time on Sunday November 1 2026 and clocks do not go back, according to the Government of Alberta. Alberta Time is UTC-6, all year. Most phones, computers and vehicles are expected to update on their own, the province says, but some older devices may not. The 8:00 pm start is Calgary time under the new system.

Other events that week are on This week at Victoria Park; later dates are on What’s On at Victoria Park.
