Where is Stampede Park?
The Calgary Stampede publishes no single street address for Stampede Park; it places the grounds along Macleod Trail between 12 Avenue SE and 25 Avenue SE. The Calgary Stampede venues site says the park sits between the Erlton/Stampede and Victoria Park/Stampede CTrain stations, both on the Red Line, with CTrain and bus service all year. The Stampede recommends Victoria Park/Stampede station for the BMO Centre, Cowboys Casino and the Saddledome, and Erlton/Stampede station for GMC Stadium. Station details: Victoria Park/Stampede CTrain station guide. All routes in: Getting to Victoria Park.
Scotiabank Saddledome
The Saddledome opened on October 15 1983, according to its building history page and the City of Calgary. It hosted events of the 1988 Olympic Winter Games and was unveiled as the Scotiabank Saddledome in 1995. The venue states seating for over 19,000 and lists four tenants: the Flames, Wranglers, Hitmen and Roughnecks. Home dates for all four are on Teams at Victoria Park.
Is this the Saddledome’s last season? The Calgary Flames announced on March 21 2026 that “2026-2027 will mark the Farewell Season for CSEC clubs & operations inside the Scotiabank Saddledome.” The City of Calgary states it will demolish the Saddledome when Scotia Place opens. BMO Centre
The Calgary Stampede’s venues site calls the BMO Centre “Western Canada’s Largest Convention Centre” and gives its address as 1912 Flores LaDue Parade SE. An expansion that opened on June 5 2024 added 565,000 square feet, more than 100,000 square feet of new exhibition space, 38 meeting rooms and two ballrooms, according to the City of Calgary. The expansion replaced Hall A and the Stampede Corral. What is on this month: BMO Centre events this month.
GMC Stadium and the Grandstand Show
GMC Stadium hosts the rodeo and chuckwagon events of the Calgary Stampede and other events through the year, according to the Calgary Stampede venues site. Its premium rooms, ranahans and The Lazy S, sit at the north end on the third and fourth levels.
The Stampede’s Evening Show runs nightly at 7:15 pm Calgary time at GMC Stadium from July 9 to 18 2027: the Rangeland Derby chuckwagon races, the relay races, then the Grandstand Show, which ends with fireworks, according to the Calgary Stampede.
Big Four Building and Big Four Roadhouse
The Big Four Roadhouse is inside the Big Four building, which the Calgary Stampede says was built in 1959 and named after the four Alberta ranchers who backed the first Stampede in 1912. The Stampede describes the Roadhouse as a country and rock venue with a bar, a mechanical bull and barbecue; its Stampede page, which lists July 9 to 18 2027, admits minors until 6:00 pm Calgary time. The Stampede also rents the Roadhouse for private events.
Nutrien Western Event Centre
The Calgary Stampede venues site lists a 250-by-125-foot show floor, arena seating for 2,500, VIP suites and a 20,000-square-foot exhibition hall. It hosts Western competitions, rodeos, agricultural exhibitions and trade shows.
Nashville North, Cowboys Casino and other spaces
- Nashville North: the Stampede calls it “The Original Stampede Party Tent”; entry is free with park admission during the Stampede, July 9 to 18 2027.
- Cowboys Casino: the Calgary Stampede names Victoria Park/Stampede station as its stop; the casino’s own site lists daily hours of 9:30 am to 5:00 am Calgary time.
- Bar Nineteen Twelve, Community Park East and Sweetgrass Lodge: listed as event spaces by the Calgary Stampede venues site, which gives no sizes for them.
